Vi hälsar dr Ann-Sofie Rudberg välkommen som doktorand inom ramen för EFFECTS. Ann-Sofie blev antagen som doktorand den 10 oktober 2016 vid Inst f klinisk neurovetenskap, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm.

Forskningsplanen heter

Long-term survival, quality of life, and cost-effectiveness of stroke based on the IST-3 and EFFECTS trials

och kommer att använda material både från IST-3-studien (världens största randomiserade trombolysstudie) och data från EFFECTS.

Det övergripande syftet med avhandlingen är att:

… broaden the knowledge about rt-PA and fluoxetine for stroke in terms of health-related quality of life, functional outcome, survival and cost-effectiveness. We hypothesize that early interventions will have a positive long term impact on costs of healthcare and to society, despite an initial increase of costs for treatment.

Detta är det första av flera planerade doktorandprojekt.
